About the Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy & Intelligence (PSI) Team:

The PSI Team is dedicated to managing operations and strategy related to the Procurement and Supply Chain organisation. We design and employ best practices, including those related to technology, process, risk and cost, to ensure that our team members can focus on helping our stakeholder optimise the dollars that TELUS is saving and spending.

Position Overview:

Within the PSI team, one of our key responsibilities is supporting technologies and processes. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be motivated and challenged by leveraging our incumbent technologies, including those related to spend management, contracting, and spend visualisation, ensuring their use and functionality is maximised. You will display leadership and innovation as an integral game changer in developing relationships with core technology providers, including SAP, and help drive our technology roadmap towards 2020.

This is what your day will include:
    •Building relationships with members of the Procurement and Supply Chain team •Ensuring that day-to-day support of the tools is available and queries and issues are resolved promptly, with a high level of service •Running training and knowledge sharing sessions with team members so they can optimise use of the tools and technologies •Working in collaboration with key strategic partners to drive our technology roadmap •Seeking innovative new technologies and potential initiatives that will promote best practices and drive incremental opportunities, and present their potential for TELUS to senior stakeholders •Supporting and implementing the design of a strategic, collaborative technology roadmap •Maintaining robust project plans and ensuring all deliverables are met or exceeded •Ensure our offshore service team are able to resolve first touch technology queries and effectively manage technology solutions •Performing Database Management & Administration of the key support tools and work closely with tool vendors •Proactively identify system & data errors & areas of opportunities and undertake corrective actions to ensure high data confidence & integrity


What you need to know to be successful:
    •Advanced project planning and execution skills (related to IT and non-IT projects) •Ability to translate ambiguous business problems and issues into structured solutions •Solid understanding of Procurement, purchasing and/or strategic sourcing processes •Knowledge of Procurement tools and technology, including SAP, Fieldglass, Ariba modules related to eSourcing, Catalog Management, Contract Lifecycle Management and Spend Visualisation & Reciprocity •Strong cross-functional team management and facilitation skills, with both internal and external stakeholders, with ability to lead cross-functional teams towards desired outcomes
    •Ability to maintain perspective and confidence in face of difficult issues, tight deadlines and client expectations
    •Superior quantitative and analytical skills; statistics knowledge and experience is highly sought
    •Understanding and experience in data manipulation, sorting and analysis tools (Ariba, Excel, SAP, etc.)
    •Ability to create unique solutions to manage and/or analyze data to support decision making
    •Ability to work effectively with all levels within a large organization
    •Strong organizational and time management skills
    •Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
    •Attention to detail
    •High degree of business ethics and accountability
    •Leading through influence skills
    •Team player and "can do" attitude
    •Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; MS Access and Macros knowledge would be a strong asset

It'd be great if you have:
    •Minimum 3-5+ years equivalent experience •Proven experience developing and managing successful relationships with vendor/suppliers and internal stakeholders at both working and senior level •Relevant experience working in a fast-paced, multi-project, complex environment •Ability to work independently
Required Education:
    •Bachelor's Degree required - Business, Engineering, Commerce, Computer Science preferred •Certifications in Data Management and Data Science
