This position's primary responsibility will be the in-depth analysis and definition of client business needs and the design, development (including documentation, testing, and communication) on medium to very complex cloud projects. Taking vague outlines/concepts and producing tangible project plans/or systems. Further to the normal classification this position will also be responsible for the review and management of the cloud compute resources and costs, using Cloud Ability.
Although not specifically an on-call 7/24 responsible jobs there may be the requirement for some after-hours work and the candidate should be capable of working outside of normal business hours.Responsibilities:
•Work with cross functional teams on the migration of products to the CloudQualifications:Required Knowledge:
•Create and keep up to date all operational documentation for the Cloud Platform
•Manage from a business/financial perspective the Cloud Platform (CloudAbility)
•Provide assistance as a project lead to the Cloud Team
•Develop new tools and processes, and plan & facilitate discussions/meetings/working sessions by demonstrating subject matter expertise when explaining outputs to senior leaders; ensures open & ongoing communication to support change management
•Manage multi-year budgets
•Working with finance for vendor management and procurement
•Familiarity in AWS/Azure Products (Cloud Operating Model) Required Skills & Abilities:
•Experience in CloudAbility an asset
•Experience in project management an asset
•Solid understanding of cloud and infrastructure costing
•Process analysis and re-design knowledge for lift and shift of existing products the TELUS Health Cloud
•An understanding of Automation technologies (Puppet)
•Financial and Vendor management background an asset
•Exceptional documentation and communication skills Required Professional Designation/Certification:
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university Required Experience:
•5 to 7 years of related Business Systems Analyst IT experienceWho is TELUS?
