Our client is known as one of Canada's leading business law firms among both national and multinational market observers. This firm prides itself on its outstanding service, dedication, and team orientation. This firm is currently looking to hire a Business Development Coordinator on a part time basis.  


Business Development

  • Support the Manager, Business Development & Marketing, with proposal writing and legal directory submissions
  • Manage ongoing content updates for lawyer profiles
  • Compile market and competitive intelligence research and reporting
  • Assist with deal tracking and reporting
  • Track and coordinate industry and community sponsorships
  • Track business development activities in the firm CRM


  • Project manage photography requirements for the firm’s new website and coordinate ongoing photography needs
  • Assist the Marketing and Events Coordinator with execution of events
  • Support for generating and posting communications to the firm website, intranet, and social media
  • Maintain inventory and ordering of promotional items, business cards and stationary
  • the candidate for this role must be open to taking on an administrative function within the team


Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Post‐secondary education in business or related field required
  • Three-five years legal or professional services experience
  • Thorough knowledge of marketing and business development principles within professional services, preferably within the legal industry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a grammar, spelling and proofreading enthusiast is a must
  • Experience with proposal processes and writing within a professional services organization
  • Able to build credibility with partners and associates, and build strong relationships with members of the national marketing team.
  • Experience with InterAction or a similar Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool.
  • Social media proficiency an asset, particularly with Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Highly organized, deadline driven and able to multi‐task while responding to changing priorities
