Our team includes a passionate group of strategists, business consultants, business analysts, project managers and change management experts. We work closely with partners across the organization, such as product managers, sales and back office teams on the business side and solution architects, scrum masters and software developers on the technology side.

Join our team

We are looking for a dynamic Business Analyst II to join our Business Billing Strategy & Roadmap team, supporting delivery on technical roadmap that enables next generation billing solutions in new and transformative ways. You will help champion and build positive relationships with our stakeholders and vendors to effectively prioritize and execute business initiatives, while defining opportunities that optimize our processes and deliver favorable customer experiences.

You'll use your stellar relationship-building and IT project skills to partner with stakeholders across TELUS. You'll help with planning and execution efforts to drive the most critical projects in support of our strategic roadmap. With the support of our team, leaders and sponsors, you will help amplify and accelerate key programs that will enable us to realize the transformation opportunity ahead of us. You will be responsible for supporting delivery of the projects assigned as well as ensuring adherence to Policies, Methodology, and specific Solution Delivery processes and standards.

Here's how
    •Analyze, document and validate business requirements from business users and function specification requirements using interviews, document analysis, task and workflow analysis. •Refines requirements using critical evaluation techniques •Document process flows for current/proposed processed, workflows, and data flows •Prepare use cases, create and define test plans and test cases •Interface between business and technical teams and translate technical and business requirements •Communicates with project managers, subject matter experts and end users •Performs analysis for projects with some impact on and risk to customer service or revenue generation •Typically works on multiple, unrelated projects simultaneously •Suggests work packages to fulfill a solution within scope of others •Represents clients to identify solutions and help prioritize and select among different options proposed •Provide thought leadership and use your experience to predict and prevent project issues •Propose and execute work or activates aligned with industry best practice, efficient execution, and risk reduction •Identify and escalate issues early •Ensure good project hygiene, and appropriate levels of communication to avoid stakeholder "surprises" •Ensure Stakeholder alignment and escalate when it is not being achieved •Participating in early scope development and management; working with vendors and business partners to coordinate interlock and status updates across multiple business and delivery teams •Coordinating or attending steering meetings and provide updates, based on our Program Governance Framework •Leveraging your understanding of the business analysis best practices to manage resources, control scope, monitor funding and track schedules •Coordinate the creation and assembly of project management deliverables for the projects assigned as well as solution delivery deliverables •Ability to work independently within a defined scope of responsibility and have a sound understanding of the interfacing applications across the enterprise within portfolio/vertical and how they interrelate •Research, analytical, problem solving, decision making, priority management, skills and risk analysis skills •Interpersonal, communication, (verbal and written), presentations, solid consulting, and customer communications skills

      •Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, Project Development Lifecycle, DevOps
    •Marketing and Operations
      •Ability to ensure that business impacts are accurately captured and agreed upon by operations within TELUS Business
    •Operational Efficiency and Excellence
      •Create and maintain detailed project plans and task lists •Processes and/or operational business readiness;
    •Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects is considered an asset •Strong organizational change management skills •Demonstrated delivery focus •Strategic, critical and analytical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving •Exceptional oral and written communication skills •Business/service oriented, with the ability to create and maintain productive relationships

    •University degree and/or equivalent combination of experience and education •Business Analyst Certification or equivalent or extensive referenceablee experience •Experience both Waterfall and Agile environments •Familiarity with Day 2 Billing Support workflow development experience •Bilingual (English/French)
