Position Summary

Reporting to and working closely with the Senior Manager, Brand Strategy and Creative, the Brand Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting brand consistency in appearance, experience, and messaging across the firm’s channels, while contributing to overall brand strategy.

Familiar with the financial services landscape and its products, this role will work across Marketing Team functions to develop and maintain collateral that promotes the firm’s differentiators to a variety of target audiences. With an eye for design, an ear for messaging, and a knack for UX, this individual will leverage their creativity and attention to detail while collaborating with digital agencies, graphic designers, and interdepartmental stakeholders on a variety of branded assets, both for internal and external use.

The Brand Marketing Specialist will have ownership of the website and work toward optimizing visitor experiences and prospect journeys, collaborating with both Communications and Insights teams to maximize our digital presence. Additionally, depending on the strategies implemented, this role will be involved in a wide variety of projects, shepherding ideas from brainstorming through to production, while supporting team objectives in multiple capacities.

As a Brand Marketing Specialist, your key accountabilities will include:

  • Integrate brand purpose, values, and differentiators across all marketing channels
  • Maintain consistency of brand identity and appearance across all marketing and corporate collateral
  • Develop and update marketing assets across the organization to promote the firm to our various target audiences
  • Work with agencies and own the CMS to perform maintenance and optimization of web assets, including Nicola Wealth’s advisory, real estate, and US websites
  • Ownership of the website, from developing landing pages and A/B testing to working with our Insights team to optimize site performance
  • Work with our Sponsorships and Events teams to curate brand presence and experiences that elevate Nicola Wealth
  • Develop advertising creative concept and collateral for campaigns, events, and sponsorships
  • Execute on both guiding external graphic designers and rolling-up-sleeves to design in-house as needed
  • Coordinate with other departments on a variety of projects as they relate to use of the firm’s brand
  • Develop and manage creative ideas to produce promotional content
  • Develop and execute projects that support the broader marketing strategy
  • Participate in developing and maintaining customer personas
  • Assist the overall team by supporting a variety of marketing initiatives
  • Manage the design and ordering of branded items

Success Factors:

  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, brand development, communications channels, and related strategies
  • Experience with design and production for websites, video, live events, print collateral, motion graphics, infographics, and other media
  • Experience navigating relationships with agencies and vendors
  • Experience with WordPress and some html
  • Strategic and exceptionally creative
  • Critical thinker with a digital mindset
  • Strong and effective communicator
  • Self-starter and results-oriented

Your experience and qualifications will include:

  • 3-5 years in a marketing role with a focus on web and collateral design
  • Degree or certification in Marketing or a related field
  • Experience working in the financial industry or intermediate knowledge of investing / financial planning
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (specifically PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and WordPress
  • Working knowledge of MailChimp, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and SharePoint would be an asset
