Duties and Responsibilities:

Teaches up to 18 hours, inclusive of lecture and lab, in both Fall and Spring semesters, primarily in Anatomy and Physiology, with other first and second year biology courses being assigned per their qualifications and department need (General Biology, Microbiology, Cellular Biology, Biochemistry, Ecology, Genetics). Teaching includes lecture and lab preparation and instruction, assessment design, exam supervision, and marking/grading for all assigned courses and sections.

Establishes office hours and maintains reasonable communication with students.

Participates in departmental, school, and institutional service requisite with collective agreement provisions.

Other Requirements:

Instruction is face-to-face on the Prince George campus.

Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Physiology, Biology, or a related discipline, with documented study/teaching competency in anatomy and physiology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous lecture and lab instructional experience is strongly preferred, as is knowledge of the British Columbia post-secondary system and biology curriculum.

Candidates with experience Indigenizing/decolonizing science pedagogy are especially encouraged to apply.
