This is an exciting leadership opportunity to improve government services as part of the multi-disciplinary Service Transformation Branch (STB) within the Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy (ENV).

The Director leads service design engagements and provides expertise and creative solutions on service design, user experience design and digital services.Reporting to the Executive Director, Service Transformation, the Director provides leadership and strategic direction to divisions, their partners and other central agencies in supporting digital service delivery and other key innovation initiatives on behalf of the Natural Resource Ministry.

Job Requirements:
  • Degree in business administration, public administration, or related field OR
  • An equivalent combination of education/experience may be considered.

Note: Related fields of study may include Social Sciences, Natural Resource Management, User experience/Human Centered Design, or Information Technology / Information Management.

Three (3) years or more of experience in each of the following:
  • Experience leading major projects of large scale and complexity that have multiple project delivery components.
  • Experience coaching and establishing collaborative relationships with executives and leading organizational change associated with implementation.
  • Experience with user centered design, user experience or service design initiatives.
  • Experience communicating with diverse groups in many environments; must have experiencespeaking in public to senior leaders.
  • Experience in business planning, procurement and contract management, and managing staff.

Preference statements:
  • One (1) or more years' experience working with clients in Land Stewardship, Natural Resources or Environmental Management.
  • Five (5) or more years'experience in any of the requirements above.
