Within the Ministry of Finance, the Banking & Cash Management Branch (BCM) enables government to collect and disburse funds through financial transactions. Under the authority of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and government core policy and procedures, BCM is responsible for the banking infrastructure and services that enable government to complete financial transactions with citizens, customers, vendors and employees and ensures the effective management of government funds related to these transactions.

The Senior Team Lead manages the day-to-day operations of the Payment & Client Services section and is accountable for the efficient and timely delivery of payment and revenue services to ministries, Crown Corporations and government agencies. The position is also responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with clients and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of applicable electronic payment programs and services. The position leads and facilitates the resolution of problems with a diverse group of stakeholders and service providers.

Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or higher in Finance, Business Administration or Economics. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experiencerelated to managing a financial operations team.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experienceleading and resolving complex issues, both staff and client.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
  • Experience working in a financial institution or large treasury operation.
  • Experience working collaboratively with various stakeholders on business process development and controls.
  • Experience in data and information security, preferably in PCI DSS compliance requirements.

About this Position:

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
