Reporting to the Director of Navigation Services, the Manager of Communications is responsible for internal and stakeholder communications, and for developing and implementing internal strategic communications plans, activities and tools in support of Healthlink BC (HLBC). In addition, this role supports HLBC's Leadership Team and business unit areas in strategic communication planning, change management, and marketing/promotional activities in conjunction with ongoing service delivery.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:


Education and experience:
  • Post-secondary degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related field; or a
  • Minimum of three years equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three years of experience writing and editing.
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Experience managing content for SharePoint sites.
  • Experience in project and change management.
  • Experience using software such as InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Experience with conference / event coordination, presentation and management.
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in directing the work of professional employees and/or consultants.
