Position at Absolute Software
Absolute is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Insights development team. We have moved everything to the cloud and we need your help to keep everything humming along and to streamline our processes.
You will take ownership for customizing Docker images, configuring Kubernetes, deploying applications with Argo CD, writing Terraform to provision services on AWS. You will be responsible for designing and developing our CI/CD pipeline.
You will develop a strategy for seamless secret rotation, ensure that we have a best-in-class backup and restore strategies in place to meet our Recovery Objectives. You will also ensure that we have appropriate monitoring in place at all levels of our stack so that we can measure and meet our Service Level Objectives.
As an integral part of the development team, you will be an active participant in our Agile process, helping with requirements analysis, estimating, design/brainstorming discussions. You will also have opportunities to go beyond DevOps and to contribute to the application itself.

- 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps engineer.
- 3+ years of experience provisioning, configuring and managing services in AWS (e.g. EC2, Lambda, IAM, S3, RDS, Secrets Manager).
- Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Docker.
- Solid experience with Terraform.
- Strong Python development skills, with an emphasis on unit testing.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch is highly desirable.
- Must be comfortable with git, Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
