The Role
ACT ! Is a federally funded, national research project that is testing the use of artificial intelligence in support of job development for youth on the spectrum. The junior facilitator is responsible for supporting the facilitator and job developers in delivering employment-based lessons for up to 3 hours per day to youth on the spectrum. The junior facilitator will be a support to small groups or one-to-one participants that need additional help.


    •Support participants and staff in achieving program success; •Use project-approved screening tools to select participants for the regional ACT program; •Use the national curriculum to prepare participants for work experience; •Under the direction of the Facilitator, deliver curriculum and provide support to staff and students; •Liaise with designated national and DC staff to promote the project and recruit program participants; •Support with regional participant recruitment and registering participants within the project and DC academic learner's management system •Contribute to Individual Learning Plans for program participants; •Facilitate one-to-one coaching and group learning activities; •Respond to participant enquiries and requests, providing guidance and coaching; •Complete required program documentation and maintain client and program files; •Help maintain the artificial intelligence app to support job development when needed; •Collaborate and liaise regularly with other ACT ! delivery partners and to review program goals, client successes and challenges, and discuss opportunities for ongoing program improvement; •Perform other departmental and project duties as required.

To Be Successful in this Role You Will Need
    •Bachelor's Degree or a combination of suitable work experience and education; •Experience working with youth and youth with disabilities; •Superior digital, computer, tech skills; •Some experience facilitating; •Excellent interpersonal skills; •Available Monday - Friday 9am-1pm.
