We are looking for an Assistive Technology Assistant who supports the Assistant Director of Assistive Technology. The Assistive Technology Assistant supports/assists the Assistant Director of Assistive Technology by carrying out both administrative and direct support task. Particularly in relation to data and technology management. SERVICE AREA: Assistive Technology
LOCATION: Head office
START DATE: As soon as possible
TERM/STATUS: Permanent Full Time
SCHEDULE/HRS: Monday to Friday 8:30-16:00 // 37.5 hours per week

Education – Required
• University degree in related discipline with training in technology

Experience – Required
• Work experience related to Job Responsibilities
• Two years of administrative experience
• Experience with iPad technology
• Experience using assistive communication programs (Boardmaker,
• TouchChat, Proloquo2Go)
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental
• health disorders, or other disabilities

Experience – Preferred
• Experience with organizational systems set-up and maintenance
• Experience with innovation and adaptive technology

Skills/Abilities -Required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, accurate typing skills, 60 wpm
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective in organization and planning skills
• Proficiency working with a variety of office equipment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn and quickly adapt to new technologies
• Ability to work with a range of families, staff, and individuals
• Experience developing online training programs
• Experience working with technology supplies and software research
