Position description:

Place des Arts is a non-profit arts centre and music school located in Maillardville, Coquitlam. We offer classes for all ages in visual arts, music, dance and drama and host concerts, recitals, art exhibitions and special events throughout the year. More information can be found at

Place des Arts participates in a number of community events and festivals throughout the year. We are looking for volunteers to assist with children's art activities at events held at Place des Arts and other locations in Coquitlam.


Volunteers will assist Place des Arts staff and/or faculty with an art activity intended for children and their families. They will assist with set-up and clean-up of the activity as well as preparing materials, making samples and distributing supplies during the event.


Must be at least 15 years old and have experience and/or interest in working with children. Volunteers should be interested in working in a creative hands-on arts environment.

Additional Information:

This is a great way to gain work experience and get involved with the community.
Snacks will be provided to all volunteers.
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt and an ID badge.
Volunteers are required to apply to volunteer. The volunteer coordinator will contact applicants to arrange a brief interview. Volunteer who are 19 or older will require a criminal record check.
