Our client, a Richmond based developer, is looking to add an AP Clerk/Receptionist to their stellar team.  This family-run company really values its’ employees and boasts an amazing team culture.  With a solid reputation for constructing high-end residential communities, this well-established company provides great stability and a work-place you can be proud to be part of. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role combines the full cycle duties of Accounts Payable with Reception and Administrative duties, providing all-around support to the Finance team.  Reporting directly into the Controller with a dotted line to the VP of Finance, the AP Clerk/Receptionist will be the first point of contact in the office while ensuring the customers receive prompt and accurate payment.

The Key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Full Cycle Accounts Payable
  • Track holdbacks
  • AP sub-ledger
  • Job cost reports
  • Communicating with, and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • AP reconciliations and matching using excel
  • Greet internal and external customers
  • Receive calls and emails
  • Organize and distribute incoming & outgoing mail
  • Coordinate meetings and special events
  • Filing, office supplies and other administrative duties
  • Ad hoc projects as required

REQUIREMENTS:

This role calls for an individual who has solid experience in a mid to high volume Accounts Payable department.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is detail oriented and has a strong work ethic.  This role is best suited to someone that is positive and a team player.

The following would be considered requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 year’s full cycle AP experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Superb communication skills, both written and oral
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritize

The following would be considered assets:

  • Experience in construction or a project-based environment such as mining, engineering, development, or real estate.
  • Experience using Timberline software. 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary: $45,000 to $50,000 per annum
  • Performance based bonus
  • Benefits: Extended Medical, Dental, MSP, Long-term Disability
  • Vacation: 3 weeks
