Build a career with KF Aerospace

KF Aerospace employs a diverse team and we all have one thing in common: we are proud of what we do

KF Aerospace is a privately owned, and industry leading, aviation company. Not only are we the largest commercial AMO in Canada, we are also a Transport Canada Design Approval Organization (DAO), Department of National Defence Recognized Design Approval Organization (RDAO), a parts manufacturer, an aircraft (ConVair) type certificate holder, and an approved Training Organization (ATO).

Tell me about the role

KF Aerospace is currently seeking multiple, full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineers-Structures (AME-S) to join our dedicated team of over 100 Structures Technicians in Kelowna, British Columbia.

Whether you are a newly licensed or highly experienced AME-S, we have a great opportunity for you!

With the full support of our highly experienced team, you will work on a wide variety of aircraft including 737 Jurassic, Classic, NG, 757, Hercules, ConVair, Buffalo and Twin Otter. You will work of a range of heavy maintenance projects from cargo doors and combi’s, to big skin changes, and crown rolling. With an extensive list of loyal clients, our team also has the opportunity to work with some of the biggest names in the business - from DND (Search and Rescue aircraft) to WestJet (NG).

What are we looking for?

For this role we are ideally seeking Transport Canada (TC) licensed candidates. Unlicensed candidates with significant structures experience are also encouraged to apply.

Working in an exciting, fast-paced and welcoming environment, this role is well suited to a team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Our Kelowna based structures team has over 100 engineers and apprentices who support each other through knowledge sharing and mentoring. All team members work rotating shifts, including weekends, and are capable of working autonomously, when required.

Finally, candidates must be familiar with computers and physically able to complete all duties associated with the role.

The (many) perks

Successful candidates will receive a competitive salary, based on your qualifications and experience. A fully licensed AME-S will receive $26.77-$32.89 per hour. You will also have the opportunity to grow within the company and work towards becoming a Senior AME and Shift Lead.

As a successful and growing company, KF Aerospace provides a unique blend of challenge, variety, and reward that is guaranteed to take your career to new heights. We encourage a healthy work/life balance for all, and our employees have access to our comprehensive benefits plan, including:

  • Extended medical (available to you, your spouse and dependent children)
  • Paid vacation and personal days
  • The opportunity to bank overtime
  • Pension matching plan and voluntary RRSP
  • Employee/family assistance program
  • Free financial advice

Why move to BC's interior?

Our Head Office and our largest maintenance facility is conveniently located between Kelowna and Vernon. With 60% of our total staff based here, our team has the opportunity to strike a positive balance between career and lifestyle living in either city. Vernon is the commercial hub of the North Okanagan and Kelowna is Canada's second-fastest growing city. With quality health care and educational institutions, plenty of shops and restaurants, combined with amazing lakes, sandy beaches, 200+ wineries, ski hills, and golf courses the interior of British Columbia is a great place to live, work, and play.
