Job Summary An excellent senior opportunity for a dedicated professionalThe Post-Secondary Digital Policy and Programs Branch improves the delivery of programs and services to the post-secondary system, learners and their supports through a coordinated approach to online learning and service delivery. The branch builds capacity within the ministry to maximize opportunities to showcase the various education pathways available to learners through strategic digital service transformation, ultimately providing improved information and tools to better support the student's journey.
The Senior User Experience Researcher supervises a team of researchers and content strategists to develop and deliver research studies to inform and guide the development of scalable digital products, ensuring the end product meets user and stakeholder needs.
Job Requirements: - Degree in a design discipline, social sciences, humanities, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Three (3) years of experience with user-centered design practices gained working in a user-experience research/design capacity.
- One (1) year experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience designing and executing research plans using leading UX and service design practices (co-design, usability testing, in-situ interviews, observation, data analysis, comparative analysis, etc.), determining the most effective methods at each stage of the work.
- Experience documenting and communicating user insights to project teams and to senior leadership (journey maps, lo-fi prototypes, etc.).
- Experience working in an agile development environment with User Experience teams, designers and developers to create iteratively and improve digital products and services.
- Master's degree in a design discipline, social sciences, humanities, or a related field.
