The Corporate Planning and Strategic Initiatives (CPSI) team is dedicated to aligning the ministry with its goals through strategic planning, reporting, and emergency response. As a close-knit team of seven, we collaborate with professionals across government to ensure critical services continue during disruptions. The Role
As a manager you would be responsible for leading the Ministry's emergency response and business continuity efforts. You will develop and maintain plans that ensure essential government services keep running during emergencies, provide expert advice to leadership, and manage emergency operations and training programs. The role also involves collaborating with other ministries and agencies to enhance emergency preparedness across the province.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- University degree in emergency management, business or public administration or other related field
- Two (2) years related experience in emergency management, operations, policy and program development or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience reviewing and analyzing complex multi-faceted issues related to health planning and/or emergency planning.
- Experience with project management
- Experience working effectively with internal and external partners
- Experience managing multiple and complex projects independently
- Preference may be given to applicants with a certification in project and/or emergency management and/or business continuity.
