The Real Property Division (RPD), within the Ministry of Citizen's Services, provides services needed to design, set up and manage facility/space requirements including management of the Province's real estate portfolio, office space, furniture, workplace project management and special-purpose facilities. Our client base includes ministries (mandated) as well as voluntary customers (broader public sector).

Workplace Development Services (WDS) is a branch within RPD comprised of experienced professionals and advisors leading the way in strategic planning, infrastructure development and construction project delivery.

The Senior Project Management Advisor (SPMA) leads multiple department wide initiatives and/or project components with significant impact to the organization (e.g. IT, System transformations and business integration). The position promotes innovation in the division, supporting staff in continuous improvement initiatives and projects, culture transformation, as well as client focused improvement activities. The position may manage several smaller scope projects with significant internal impact to the business. The SPMA guides staff in construction project administration best practices throughout the project life cycle and trains staff on branch specific processes and reporting requirements.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
  • Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Adult Education and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Experienced with the real estate, facilities, and construction industry, including the management of facilities projects, construction contracts, budgets, and schedules.
  • Experience directing the work of others.
