There are two Senior Policy and Project Analyst vacancies, one with the Technology and Business Modernization team, and one with the Policy and Implementation team, Strategic Services Branch.
Bothpositions may be located in anySDPR office: Abbotsford, Burnaby, Campbell River, Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Courtenay, Duncan, Fort St John , Kamloops, Kelowna, Langley, Maple Ridge, Nanaimo, Nelson, New West,Prince George, Prince Rupert, Salmon Arm, Surrey, Terrace, Vancouver, Vernon, and Victoria (subject to operational requirements and space availability).

The Strategic Services Branch supports the Division's strategic planning process, legislation, policy, service delivery, and system implementations, stakeholder relations and, optimization and modernization of services. Strategic leadership and coordination related to program development, implementation, and management are central roles to the branch.

The Senior Policy and Project Analyst independently manages significant policy or service delivery projects and other strategic initiatives on behalf of the division focused on the review and revision of the ministry's service delivery model, programs, technology,or legislation.

The Senior Policy and Project Analyst is highly organized and results oriented, capable of meeting deadlines associated with multiple projects. With your excellent oral and written communication skills, you will be responsible for collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The analyst will support the organization's strategic performance and project management framework by developing proposals and recommendations, identifying benefits and risks, providing robust analysis and thoroughly documenting conclusions presented to management, with the goal of continuous improvement.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree in business administration, public administration, social sciences, or in a related field and two (2) years *related experience; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and *related experience.

*Related experience must include 2 years in each of the following:
  • Experience researching issues and conducting analysis.
  • Experience managing projects and/or project components and implementations.

Preference may be given to candidates with 1 or more of the following:
  • Experience working with legislation, regulations and policy.
  • 2 years or more experience with the Integrated Case Management system and My Self Serve.
