The Ministry of Children and Family Development provides services that support healthy, safe environments where children and youth are connected to their family and community. The ministry delivers the majority of its services locally through contracted agencies as well as through centrally administered provincial programs.
The operations arm of the Procurement and Contract Management Branch consists of 3 teams supporting the ministry's 13 service delivery areas and the provincial office by providing procurement and contract management services for over 6,000 contracts spanning six business lines (Early Years, Children and Youth with Special Needs, Child and Youth Mental Health, Child Safety, Family Support and Children in Care, Adoption and Youth Justice).
The Procurement and Contract Specialist is responsible for managing the ministry procurement life-cycle for a variety of simple to complex procurement and contracting opportunities with some considered high profile and politically sensitive.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
Preference may be given to those with following:
- Degree, diploma, designation or equivalent in related field (i.e. procurement and contract management, business administration, commerce, risk management or law).
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in the full procurement life cycle and analyzing complex issues, evaluating options and recommending solutions.
- Minimum of 1 years' experience in developing and administrating procurement processes.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in contract and/or financial management.
- Experience working with diverse client groups.

- 2 years or more experience in the full procurement life cycle and analyzing complex issues, evaluating options, and recommending solutions.
- 2 years or more experience in developing and administrating procurement processes.
- 1 year experience leading staff and managing resources.
