The Team
The Policy and Strategic Initiatives Unit is an established and energetic team where every day brings new challenges and opportunities. You'll be working alongside a diverse group of partners, from community organizations to government bodies and justice system allies, tackling sensitive and high-impact issues. Together, we strive to support the branch and ministry in meeting strategic goals and to address community safety and provide a comprehensive continuum of services for victims and survivors of crime, making a real difference in British Columbia.
The Role
The Stakeholder Relations Coordinator plays a vital role in fostering partnerships and building connections through resource development, stakeholder engagement, and special event coordination. This position designs and delivers inclusive print and online resources, manages projects, and supports initiatives that reflect the diverse needs of stakeholders. With a focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion, the Coordinator ensures effective communication, identifies emerging issues, and provides issues management support to support the Branch's goals in a timely and collaborative manner.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 4 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is a temporary opportunity until 12/05/2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Post-secondary degree in public administration, business, social sciences, communications or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders to gather, verify, and communicate information.
- Experience in project planning/management and event coordination.
- Experience in preparing communication materials including briefing notes, speaking notes, and presentations.
- Experience in producing resources, publications and other written materials (including writing, editing, proofreading).
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience working on issues related to victims or vulnerable groups.
- Experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro).
- Experience in web design. (e.g. CMS Lite or other program).
