The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

Retail Operations, encompassing the three retail business units of Merchandising, Marketing and Store Operations, is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the 198 BC Liquor Stores. The Retail division develops and executes key strategies to drive business/ revenue, creates systems and processes to maximize operational excellence, while upholding BCLDB's core values of service, relationships and results. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing and Advertising, this position is responsible for providing marketing leadership, event planning, team and stakeholder management, execution, and evaluation to all Special Events, Product Releases, and future marketing programming in-store and online. This role will provide strategic direction and support for all special releases, special events, product consultant tastings and draws and other programs across BCLIQUOR.
A criminal record check is required. Ability to travel overnight within the Province of British Columbia. A Valid BC Driver's License is required.

Position Requirements:Education and Experience: - A minimum of 3 years of recent, related* marketing and/or events experience with an emphasis on managing projects and people.
- Experience in retail marketing.
- A minimum of 2 years of leading a team of direct reports.
*Recent, related experience must have occurred in the last 5 years.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Diploma or Certificate in Marketing or a related field.
- Experience working in a geographically distributed retail organization or related industry.
