The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

Corporate Operations at the BCLDB includes our Corporate Loss Prevention and Real Estate departments. Real Estate manages all activities related to the leasing, construction, renovation, and facilities management of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centers, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations. The Corporate Loss Prevention department ensures the security of all BCLDB assets through physical security management as well as an investigative team.

Reporting to the Director Leasing, the Property Management & Lease Administrator is responsible for the management and coordination of LDB real estate portfolio including but not limited to the following functions: leasing, property management and lease administration. In this role you will be the primary liaison with landlords for property management issues, assist with new store leases when required and administer all leases within the framework of the LDB's standard lease agreements. Position administers all existing leases including the verification and making of recommendations in regard to all lease related expenditures involving LDB monies. Position also creates business cases to support lease renewals and net new leases.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:
  • Degree in real estate, business or related discipline and 2 years recent, related experience. *
    OR
  • Diploma in real estate, business or related discipline and 4 years recent, related experience.*

*Recent, related experience must include experience in the following within the last 5 years:
  • Experience with financial management and managing rent budgets.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following experience:
  • Exposure to retail leasing.
  • Experience in a multi-unit retail environment.
