The Procurement and Supply Division (PSD) of the Ministry of Citizens' Services (CITZ) plays the leadership role in the management of all outsourced contracts, procurement services and supply services. The Division is also responsible for the BC Procurement Strategy to improve and modernize procurement in the Province of British Columbia while realizing value for money and creating benefits for communities. The PSD team consists of approximately 450 employees in eight cities across the province.
Reporting to the Director, Business Planning & Engagement, the Project & Engagement Coordinator provides technical project management coordination for divisional projects throughout the project management life cycle (i.e., initiation, planning, execution, control, and close-out). The Project & Engagement Coordinator is also an assigned representative on project teams supporting the planning, engagement and communications activities of the division including development of annual plans and measurement frameworks, internal communications and reporting, and resources to support increased staff engagement (i.e.: onboarding resources, training resources).
Job Requirements: - Secondary school graduation or equivalent plus post-secondary coursework in strategic planning, project management or communications and two (2) years of *related experience.
Related experience must include two or more of the following:
- Experience providing administrative support to project teams.
- Experience leading projects or project components.
- Experience developing a wide range of communications for diverse audiences.
- Experience coordinating meetings, events and engagement activities for a large organization (200+).
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Completion of PMP designation or working towards completion.
- Three (3) or more years of related experience.
