The Opportunity:

WSP is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our engineering and consulting team located at our Victoria office on a full-time basis.

WSP's engineering and consulting team in Victoria engages in a variety of engineering and technical advisory sectors. We are technical experts and strategic advisors that are dedicated to our local communities. Reporting to a Department Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting professionals and/or managers, including maintaining and updating office documents, preparation of reports, project tracking, supporting office operation, supporting office health and safety processes and supporting proposal development and business development.

A day in the life:

• You will be working in a hybrid office environment, contributing to a variety of engineering and consulting engineering departments, including civil, mechanical, electrical and structural.
• You'll be using your organizational skills to track projects and support project administration.
• You'll be developing project specification documents, preparing standard contracts and preparing reports.
• You will contribute to general office operations, including part-time reception coverage, and health and safety processes.


• Understanding and practicing safe work procedures
• Reporting directly to a Department Manager
• Working in a team environment
• Assisting in office management and administrative tasks
• Part-time reception coverage
• Communicating effectively with managers, design professionals and clients.
• Reliably and promptly responding and attending to clients' needs
• Following established quality assurance and quality control processes
• Understanding project budgets
• Preparing and coordinating project reports, specifications and construction administration forms utilizing industry standard office software
• Administrative project tracking.
• Participation in proposal development.

What you'll bring to WSP ...

• 3 years of experience in Business Administration. Previous experience in consulting engineering, architecture or construction administration is considered an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• A "can do" attitude, courteous communication, an organized approach to work tasks and responsibilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams and SharePoint.
