Recruitment has not slowed down at all with one of our major clients, a large BC employer based in downtown Vancouver!  We are seeking an Administrative Assistant for a term position for a period up to one year. We are looking for a seasoned admin with strong skills in Excel, as you will be dealing with a lot of spreadsheets, budgets, expense reports etc. A background in financial/accounting related tasks would be a huge asset.

 

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Posting journal entries
  • Assisting with accounts payable
  • Preparing expense reports utilizing an online expense approval system
  • Assisting with budget preparations
  • Communicating with vendors and customers over the phone
  • Reception relief
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

 

What You Bring:

  • A minimum of 1.5 – 2 years’ current administrative assistant experience
  • Strong MS Office skills – Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and especially, Excel
  • Excellent keyboarding of 60 wpm
  • Understanding of accounts payable processes
  • Exposure to online expense approval systems and accounting systems
  • Excellent proofreading and editing skills
  • Experience with reception and handling multiple phone lines
  • Exposure to human resources information expense report functionality would be an asset
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach and an excellent eye for detail
  • Some experience with time entry system and data entry would be extremely helpful
