We are currently looking for highly detailed, proactive and organized Administrative Assistants for multiple temporary and contract positions available with our clients, both in public and private organizations, some of which specifically support aboriginal communities. The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to be enthusiastic, team-oriented and has a positive attitude to work alongside a group of high-performing individuals.

Location:  Vancouver. BC 

Responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to person for all office related matters
  • Effectively handle phone and email correspondence
  • Build and maintain an efficient filing and database system
  • Prepare, proofread and distribute relevant documents
  • Coordinate and maintain schedules
  • Input information into the database
  • Assist the team with office supply management
  • Screen and monitor all incoming materials and correspondence
  • Ensure all areas of the office remain tidy
  • Arrange and help prepare for meetings and events
  • Liaise with key office vendors and suppliers
  • Other administrative duties, as needed

Requirements:

  • Ability to work well with diverse ethnicities and communities 
  • Previous knowledge with data entry and automated systems and software is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and verbally
  • Ability to prioritize ever-changing tasks and workload
  • Ability using MS Office Suite
  • Ability to be organized, reliable and dependable
