opportunity for an Activity Worker/Bus Driver
to work at Baillie House
located in Maple Ridge, B.C.Your specific job duties will include:
•Carrying out individual and group activities such as table games, current events, sports activities, music, special events and community outings. •Providing input and feedback for program activities at regular planning meetings. •Accompanying and/or transporting residents by operating a vehicle or bus with a seating capacity between 11 and 25 passengers. •Ensuring that residents have appropriate clothing/equipment for activities; confirming and coordinating proposed activity with nursing/medical staff; assisting in embarking and disembarking passengers from the bus. •Organizing materials required for programs and maintaining equipment inventory. •Providing a variety of routine inspection/maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment. Are you motivated to join the team? We will be looking for you to have the following:
•Completion of Grade 12. •Two (2) years of recent, related experience. •Completion of recognized recreational courses. •Valid Class IV Driver's License (unrestricted) and/or Class III Driver's License with air brake endorsement as required per vehicle(s).
This vacancy is subject to the requirements of the Facility Staff Assignment Order (the "SSO") issued by the Fraser Health's Medical Health Officer further to the Order issued by the Provincial Health Officer on April 10, 2020 (amended April 15, 2020) (the "PHO Order"). While these Orders are in effect the successful applicant to this vacancy will be limited to working in only one (1) private long-term care hospital, licensed long-term care facility, registered assisted living facility, stand-alone extended care hospital or provincial mental health facility (the "Facilities").
