Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for accounting? Our prestigious client has an immediate opening for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their dynamic team in Vancouver. This leading firm specializes in providing expert guidance for lawsuits and settlement services globally, offering you invaluable experience within a legal corporate environment. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a large firm setting while maintaining the close-knit culture and personal touch of a smaller firm.

What You’ll Do:

Manage all third-party disbursement payments.
Oversee internal expense forms and reimbursements for support staff and lawyers.
Facilitate general and trust cheque requisitions.
Track partners’ discretionary spending and communicate remaining balances.
Post personal expenses for support staff and lawyers.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and process orientation.
Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees by setting them up in the Elite 3E accounting system.
Provide coverage for peers in other Accounts Payable Specialist roles.
Maintain various weekly and monthly reports.

What You Bring:

Strong hold on of fundamental accounting principles and procedures.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in a professional services firm considered an asset.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
Handling vendor inquiries.
Filing and other tasks as required other tasks as required.
Knowledge of iManage and Elite 3E would be an asset
