is located approximately 17 kilometres west of Logan Lake and about 50 kilometres southwest of Kamloops in British Columbia. HVC produces both copper and molybdenum concentrates through autogenous and semi-autogenous grinding and flotation. Once processed, the metal concentrates are exported overseas, where the majority is sold under long-term sales contracts to smelters. - Motivated self-starter, be able to prioritize work under pressure and show great attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts to multidisciplinary teams and external clients and contractors
- Superior financial skills, providing overall support to the Financial Accounting or Accounts Payable departments
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Dynamics AX would be advantageous
- Participation in Teck's health and safety programs to ensure that everyone on site goes home safe and healthy every day
- Support the Accounts Payable department through processing invoices, receiving service items, and initiating approval workflows
- Assist with cost updates, tax reviews/returns and reconciliations
- Assist in the preparation of month end accruals, reports, and cost meetings with Cost Analyst
- Work with the Operating Excellence group on best practices and improvements relating to finance
- Assist in the development of departmental budgets and assist in the auditing of performance to budget
- Develop/maintain analytical reports/models based in PowerBI
- Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
