What- the Role:
Our client is looking to hire a bright, results-oriented, and systems savvy Accounting Clerk to join their team. The new employee will process accounts payable (corporate AP, as well as AP for various commercial and residential projects) and input commercial and residential leases. Additionally, the Acct Clerk will also participate in a major system implementation project over the next several months (converting from several systems to one streamlined version of YARDI). This is a great opportunity to learn new skills and build up your accounting experience- the role will be largely focused on accounts payable, but the Acct Clerk will also have the opportunity to work on many other parts of the accounting cycle. Our client has a close-knit accounting & finance team of 5- this employee will report into the Manager, Finance & Accounting and will collaborate closely with the property accountants and also get to interact with the VP Finance.
Who- the Candidate:
We are seeking individuals with at least 1 year A/P and/or clerical accounting experience. Prior hands-on experience using Yardi is preferred but not required- we’re looking for someone who is looking forward to getting to know the Yardi system inside-out in the course of the implementation. Additionally, strong intermediate-level Excel skills are necessary in this role. Candidates will be bright and hardworking team players who are eager to learn and contribute, and who love seeking out and putting in place process improvements. A passion for real estate is a big plus! The AP Clerk in this role will have the opportunity to learn and develop new accounting skills over the years. This is a great opportunity for someone who plans on enrolling in the CPA program in the future, or who is already at very early stages of the CPA program.
Corporate office located in a bustling area of Vancouver, close to many amenities (restaurants, shops, etc.) and walking distance from rapid transit. Proper safety procedures will be followed during physical distancing.
