We are working in partnership with our client, a well-respected firm on the North Shore, to recruit a self-motivated and detailed Accounting Clerk (part-time) to add their growing team. You will be part of professional, yet friendly team who are committed to the success of the company! Your primary role is to support various accounting functions, in addition to some light administrative functions.

Location:  North Vancouver, BC

Term:  This is a permanent part-time position (flexible hours for right candidate)

Responsibilities:

  • General administrative duties – answering phones, filing, mail sorting and ordering supplies
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and vendor files
  • Assist with the preparation of payroll
  • Manage accounting duties as needed; including but not limited to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Input data into internal software and accounting systems
  • Ad-hoc assistance with special projects as requested

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Prior experience with Canadian payroll
  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite – Advanced Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and independently
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented approach
