Accounts Payable Clerk (6 month contract to permanent)
Your new company
A construction company located Burnaby, British Columbia is seeking an accounts payable clerk to join their busy team. This is a 6 month contract with a permanent placement to follow pending performance. This position is an immediate need and will require candidates to be in the Greater Vancouver area, or capable of being here to work within 24 hours.
Your new role
In your new position as accounts payable clerk, you will be responsible for processing accounts payable invoices, including matching to PO's and packing slips. You will be conducting bank reconciliations and liaising with vendors. You will reconcile holdback billings from vendors to company records and ensure all required documents are in place prior to releasing holdback payments. You will investigate issues with invoices and problematic vendor accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
You have an ability to acquire knowledge quickly. You have a strong ability to work effectively with others in a cross functional environment. You have outstanding communication skills, and are comfortable with phone work. You have post-secondary education in a related accounting field, and have a minimum of 1 year strong full-cycle accounts payable experience. You are able to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
