Property development company is seeking for Accounting Assistant role on contract for 6 months

This reputable property and development company take great pride in their diverse and collaborative work environment. They are actively seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to join their Vancouver office on a 6-month contract with the intention of becoming a permanent, long-term position.
Your new role
You will be based within the accounting team and be responsible for coding and processing invoices, reconciling transaction, weekly cheque runs, EFT payments, assisting vendors with their queries and any other general accounts payable duties as required. You will be based in their down town Vancouver office and work Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you must have proven accounts payable experience, excellent communication and an eye for detail. Previous experience with Yardi or accounting system is also preferred along with strong MS suite skills. This is initially a contract position due for an immediate start so only applicants who are based in Vancouver will be considered.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid a competitive hourly pay rate and receive weekly pay. This is initially a contract position but there is a high possibility of a permanent role.
