Accounting Assistant - Temp to Perm

We have a temporary assignment in Richmond that starts as soon as possible, with a strong possibility of going permanent for the right candidate!  The company has built a respected and trusted reputation among their customers, employees and industry peers and they enjoy a strong family-oriented culture. 

 Our ideal candidate is an excellent multi-tasker with a well-rounded, current background handling a variety of accounting duties.  There will also be some general office tasks as well such as filing, assisting with phones, ordering supplies, etc., so a friendly, positive attitude and good teamwork skills are essential. 

Duties: 

• Preparing timesheets for payroll 
• Remittances to Receiver General, WCB, RRSP, etc. 
• Monthly payroll journal entries 
• Yearly T4s, ROEs 
• Accounts Payable; matching PO’s, entering vendor invoices 
• Credit card reconciliations 
• Printing payment cheques and paying vendors online 
• Prepare customer invoices 
• Process VISA and MasterCard customer payments 
• Make soft collection calls 
• Month-end A/R and A/P reconciliations  
• Price updating on inventory worksheets 
• Prepare job costing sheets 

The offices are located in Richmond, close to the Bridgeport area.
