What- the Role:
This role involves close collaboration with the team to ensure accurate and timely financial processing within the division. The Accounting Administrator will be responsible for managing key financial documents, maintaining system accuracy, and supporting both internal teams and external partners with professionalism and discretion.
- Upload and organize documentation in multiple systems.
- Process invoices promptly, adhering to deadlines and payment schedules.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between invoices and system entries.
- Verify the accuracy of customer orders before issuing invoices.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to correct errors and ensure accurate documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and review financial reports weekly.
- Manage monthly financial tasks, including Visa statements and employee reimbursements.
- Oversee month-end processes, ensuring all deadlines are met and records are accurate.
- Provide backup support to team members when needed.
- Manage and distribute month-end calendar invites to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Conduct a thorough monthly review of the P&L, ensuring all entries are correct and reconciled.
- Prepare and distribute accurate financial reports post month-end close.
Who- the Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in various computer applications (e.g., Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage high volumes of transactions efficiently.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and find proactive solutions.
- Relevant post-secondary education and industry experience are preferred.
How Much:
Base salary commensurate with level of experience in the range of $55-65K 3 weeks’ vacation + benefits, free transit pass.
Where:
Based in the company’s Vancouver head office. Hybrid working schedule of 3 days’ week, possibility for fully remote working conditions after 6 months.
