About our Client

Our client, a well known and highly regarded real estate company based in Vancouver is looking for a Intermediate Accountant to join their dynamic team on a 12 month contract basis starting immediately. This position has the possibility of turning into a permanent role if interested. The hours of work are from 9 am - 5 pm and will offers an excellent wage.   • Co-supervises AP and AR functions for a team of 5.
  • full cycle accounting
  • experience with Real Estate Council and the Revenue Canada taxation regulations.
  • Monitor daily on-line bank balances; add/check daily bank deposits for accuracy
  • Reconciles the general ledger accounts and prepares journal entries monthly for all corporate offices
  • Prepares written monthly bank reconciliation of all bank statements including the Trust accounts in accordance with the rules of the Real Estate Council of B.C. and ensure monthly timelines are met.
  • Maintain tax and GST files for each agent and act as a back up to remitting taxes and GST for agents including completion of the GST forms and tax forms.
  • Prepare and send out Agent expense reports in a timely manner
  • fix bank deposit errors for Trust and Commission Trust account
  • Enter monthly sales associates’ expense charges for our branch/corporate offices
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
  • 4+ years of recent related experience in full cycle accounting preferrable in the real estate industry
  • Experience in Lonewolf software is a major plus
  • Proficient in MS office using Excel, Word
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management, ability to multi-task and prioritize based on deadlines
  • Clear written and inter-personal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work with changing priorities under pressure
