Accountant

We are working on behalf of our client, an established real estate firm, in order to find a highly professional and responsible Accountant to be a part of their strong team. They are looking for an individual that has a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and can deliver timely and top-tier service to multiple companies on a day-to-day basis.

Location: Delta, BC (Hybrid)

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle accounting for the company's commercial real estate and development portfolio
• Organize and maintain an accurate system of accounting files and records
• Communicate with various parties and troubleshoot issues relating to orders and invoices, including tenant chargebacks and cheque runs
• Create expense reports and confirm AP transactions, while consistently adhering to company requirements
• Complete preparation and distribution of various financial documentation including reconciliations and month-end reporting
• Document accounting activities on daily basis and compile necessary files together, keeping updated and organized for future auditing
• Assist with budget preparation and year-end processing
• Prepare government remittances
• Process inter-company transactions

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of property management experience 
• Completion of Accounting Diploma or current enrollment in CPA program
• Experience with Yardi Voyager and Quickbooks systems are considered an asset
• Strong skills in MS Office Suite (superior skills in Excel)
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Time management and organization skills are a must
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
