Our client is a specialty law firm founded in 2009. They are dedicated to providing the highest quality of legal services across Canada in serving the needs of aboriginal peoples and others needing assistance in public, constitutional and environmental law.

This firm’s Vancouver office, located in Yaletown, is currently seeking a motivated, service-oriented mid-level Legal Administrative Assistant to join their talented and committed team. This position will work alongside the Junior Legal Assistant, and together will support 5 lawyers and 1 paralegal.


Interpreting rules of court for various provinces within various levels of court (i.e. BC Supreme Court, BC Court of appeal, Federal Court, Ontario Superior Court, Supreme Court of Canada);
Drafting, editing, formatting, printing and revising letters, memos, reports, court documents, labels and other printed materials;
Drafting correspondence;
Filing and coordinating service of Court documents;
Organizing and maintaining client documents, pleadings briefs and various work briefs;
Daily filing, file organization, opening files, closing files, scanning and photocopying;
Managing a bring forward system, calendar entries, scheduling meetings, booking travel, completing cheque requisitions and monthly client billings;
Coordinating with court offices and scheduling of appointments;
Daily physical and electronic filing, file organization, opening files, closing files, maintaining an electronic and manual bring forward system
Willingness to pitch-in to support the administrative team when needed


5 - 7 years of Legal Administrative Assistant experience;
Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Excellent organizational skills;
Ability to work as a team player;
Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision;
Enjoys a challenge;
Adept at using Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 2010
Knowledge of Time Matters, PC Law, CanLii and QuickLaw would be an asset.
