Since 1971, Burnaby Family Life has been offering programs and services to individuals and families in Burnaby. Over the past four decades, we've grown, we've expanded and we've helped thousands upon thousands of people to live a better life in a better community. Programs provided in counseling, parenting, pregnancy, English language skills, childhood literacy, childcare and licensed daycare. This position offers the help, assiting childcare staff, to the parenting programs in which the participants need childcare.Deliverables/Duties:
Volunteers will work together with staff taking care of children from babies to 3 year old in a licensed daycare .Volunteers will assist program staff in setting up the room with different activities, playing with children, attending to the children's physical needs such as reading, playing and guiding. Qualifications:
Experience working with young children is an asset.
Must be comfortable around infant and toddlers
Monday- Friday 9am to 12pm or 2:30pm to 5pm ( 2 days if possible , flexible)
Current need is Tuesday and Thursday afternoon
3-month commitment minimum
Volunteer interview and police criminal record check before volunteer position are required
Suitable for 19 year old and up.
