After 30 years at the helm, our Maintenance Manager is retiring so we’re looking for a talented person to lead our team. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall success of the maintenance program ensuring all facilities, plants and equipment are maintained at a high standard; qualified staff are in place at our operating areas; and that CMH is compliant with all standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities: • Supervise preventative maintenance schedule at 9 remote lodges • Assist Lodge Managers with the recruitment, training, and evaluation of maintenance staff • Manage the OH & S program and regulatory compliance • Provide technical knowledge and training to maintenance staff on diesel engine and building maintenance, HVAC, commercial appliances, energy consumption, conservation and recovery • Plan & budget for facility maintenance and capital projects
Skills and Attributes • Strong organizational, communications and analytical skills • Demonstrated ability to lead, train and inspire a team • Flexibility to spend 180+ days in the field training and mentoring staff • Experience with spreadsheets, databases, budgeting and project management • Advanced experience with all aspects of diesel engine and building maintenance, HVAC and commercial appliances • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job • A passion for skiing, hiking, mountains and an appreciation for the values and culture of CMH
