Almost overnight, social distancing and stay-at-home orders limited job search options and increased competition for the positions that remain open, thereby minimizing the chances of job search success [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2020\/04\/09\/canada-sheds-more-than-1m-jobs-in-absolutely-massive-coronavirus-driven-decline-176981\">1<\/a>]. Yet some companies \u2014 especially those categorized as \u201cessential\u201d and which are involved in healthcare and online sales\/service provision \u2014 are experiencing immense increases in sales [2].
