The Technology Solutions division (TS), within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), provides cost effective management and supply of IT infrastructure and operations to core government ministries, program managers and government employees including stewardship of IT assets and supply arrangements.
Device Services, a branch within TS, focuses on the development of common IT services and management strategies for devices that enhance a client's ability to meet their unique business needs. A key role is to assist with translating client corporate vision into desired outcomes through the optimum deployment of IT. Device Services works at both corporate and end-user levels to plan computer needs, acquire and install hardware and software, provide security and virus protection, support end users, and eventually plan for replacement.
The Device Services Administrators Office (AO) is a peer-level branch to the Device Services Branch, and is responsible for the overall management and health of the contract with the current service partner (IBM) for the delivery of the current Workstation Support Services contract. This branch is now focussed primarily upon the re-procurement of this contract for the next generation of Workplace Technology Services. This opportunity is for two positions, one within the Device Services branch and one within the Device Services Administrator’s Office branch.
