Allina Health Home Oxygen & Medical Equipment (HOME) offers oxygen and medical equipment solutions to help keep patients safe, comfortable and independent in their own home. With headquarters located in St. Paul, Minn., services are provided in 42 Minnesota counties, western Wisconsin and northern Iowa 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Customer service
Obtain new customer intake information
Answer phones in professional manner
Obtain/review information for intake
Use and navigate EMR: TIMS and Excellian
Follow Medicare compliance guidelines for equipment delivered
Schedule delivery time for RT delivery
Review RT shippers completed by customer service for accuracy
Work in showroom to cover for breaks and PTO
Designated contact person for the Sleep Lab Accounts
Receive fax or phone orders and enter into TIMS for new set-ups, supplies, or service call
Maintain a positive and polite working relationship with sleep lab staff
Work with Clinical Manager to oversee vent follow-up program
Schedule monthly vent follow-ups to ensure all required follow-ups are completed
Refer clinical questions from customers to RT
Clinical documentation is obtained per insurance guidelines
Facilitate clinical diagnostic studies for AAA
Complete all appropriate paperwork for set-up and pick-up including log sheet
Check all paperwork from customer service for accuracy and thoroughness
Schedule and develop tracking mechanism for all studies to assure study is complete and equipment is picked-up
Education

High school diploma/GED
College degree preferred (4 year)
Qualification/Skills

Experience
3years H.O.M.E. customer service experience to include billing, insurance and thorough knowledge of DME industry and products
2 years experience in call center customer service environment
Skills
Strong communication, organizational and customer service skills
Medical terminology
Good critical thinking and problem solving skills
Professional telephone manner with strong verbal skills and ability to communicate and respond in courteous manner with attention, respect and sincerity to a wide variety of people
Ability to work as a team as well as independently. Work in a team atmosphere to service the customers
Proven ability to multi task and prioritize a variety of tasks and information
Process and manage a variety of tasks
Prior experience with data entry and strong typing skills
Computer data entry with competency
Knowledge of DME industry and products preferred
Knowledge of complex issues related to ventilators, apnea monitors, CPAP & BiPAP patients preferred
Licensure/Certifications
Certificate in medical field or medical field experience preferred (LPN, PTA, OTA, COTA)
