Deirdre Pickerell, MEd.

Deirdre Pickerell has close to fifteen years experience as an educator, manager and career coach. As former Director and Principal of an accredited private career training institution, known as a leader in information technology training and career management services, Deirdre led a team of professionals as they provided training, career planning and job search services to hundreds of clients. She has received high praise for leadership within and dedication to the private training industry and the career development community.

Deirdre brings the Life Strategies team a strong background in business and organizational development, curriculum development and instruction as well as experience in counselling and working with clients as they transition to new careers. Deirdre’s broad expertise ranges from career coaching, administering psychometric assessments and training career practitioners to curriculum and program development and workshop facilitation. Deirdre also assists clients in human resources planning, staff recruitment and training, internal career services and transition management.

Deirdre’s commitment to lifelong learning and career development is further demonstrated by her active role in the BC Career Colleges Association (BCCCA), as a board member and active committee member and through her participation in the BC Career Information Partnership (BCCIP).

As part of the Life Strategies team, Deirdre is committed to providing quality training and effective career coaching and to designing services customized to fit the specific needs of each client.
