Manufacturing Steel Estimator: Harvey 1184

We are currently looking for an Estimator with hands on experience, for our manufacturing facility located in Port Coquitlam, B.C. You must have 5 years plus of working experience in a similar fabricating business. Familiarity with the use of Fabtrol is an advantage, but not a necessity. Accent is on plate work estimating with knowledge on plate development, welding procedures, manufacturing equipment. The type of estimating work would include but not restricted to pressure vessel type structures, plate and box girder bridges, chutes, hoppers, buckets, and ferry ramps.
If you have additional knowledge, with regard to more complex architectural type structures, that would be an advantage. Familiarity with the use of ACAD, Inventor, and or SolidWorks is required. Must be able to do a take off for materials, labour, and subcontract work, from client’s drawings and produce a detailed estimate. Must have a good disposition, with excellent communication skills, and be able to deal with venders, clients, and company personnel in a friendly manor. We prefer to have someone that is already established in the Vancouver area

This is a fulltime position.
Salary of $50,000 to $70,000 per year, plus benefits, depending on experience.
Medical and Dental plans are available after probationary period
