Job Description:
Senior Traffic/Transportation Engineer: Harvey 1126

We are currently looking for a Senior Traffic/Transportation Engineer. This position will be based in Edmonton or Calgary depending on the preference of the selected candidate. This is a full time, permanent position. You will be an integral member of a team of engineers, technicians and CAD operators preparing traffic/safety studies and assisting with design packages for all forms and components of roads including interchanges, structures, resource roads and arterial highways. The successful candidate will assist in or lead the preparation of design drawing packages,assist in business development,train and mentor junior staff, prepare related reports, and prepare tender documents. As a senior member of the management team in Alberta, you will be responsible for performing and overseeing traffic engineering and analysis throughout the entire Province.

Requirements:
The successful candidate will have a Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with 10 or more years of experience in conducting traffic impact assessments, safety studies, traffic management plans and highway studies. Candidate must have or be eligible for P.Eng. registration with APEGGA and preference will be given to applicants with a P.T.O.E. designation. Knowledge of current traffic software packages will be required, such as Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, Paramics and SIDRA. Preference will be given to candidates with training in road geometrics and who enjoy working with computer aided design software.

This is a contract to fulltime or fulltime position.
Salary is open depending on experience.
