Role and Responsibilities

1. Coordinate Production

• Responsible for MS Project in collaboration with Sales, Engineering and Purchasing department
• Lead daily production meetings. Participate in weekly and monthly progress meetings in conjunction with other department managers/supervisors (Eng, Sales, Purchasing, HR)
• Track and anticipate part shortages
• Follow-up on NCR action items
• Monitor Production Performance Indicators
• Recruitment, Employee Engagement and Performance Management
• Perform audits on all production processes and maintain documentation

2. ERP/MRP Systems Leader

• Facilitate the flow of information between all departments
• Advanced knowledge of all modules of ERP system (MOVEX)
• Ensure data accuracy of ERP/MRP systems
• Troubleshooting and training on system
• Liase with external IT Vendor
• Innovate new solutions to other departments which will improve efficiency and flow of production

3. Supervise and Motivate Production Team

• Conducts performance reviews and coordinates disciplinary action together with GM and HR
• Ensures staff engagement and

4. Process Improvement

• Spearhead Continuous Improvement projects
• Introduce on-going and regular brainstorming to other departments that will facilitate a fundamental, company wide commitment to Continuous Improvement as part of corporate values and mission
• Train production and other departments in 5S, Lean, Six Sigma

5. Supervises Logistics/Stores Dept

• Advises shipping dept of boat shipping schedule
• Able to fill in for shipper (book transport, customs documentation, bill of lading, etc)
• Inventory Management

6. Responsible for Maintenance & Safety

• Maintenance Schedule
• Ensure the successful implementation of Safety Plan and update as necessary
• Participate in OH&S Committee
• Conduct workplace injury investigation in cooperation with the Safety Office Qualifications and Education

Requirements:

• Industrial/ Process Engineer or production manager 5+ years experience in manufacturing
• Good Technical understanding
• Advanced Computer Skills (ERP/MRP, MS Office including MS Project is preferred) Soft Skills. knowledge of ERP Movex is considered as an ASSET
